Popular Beaches
Because Seychelles
is surrounded by bodies of water and islands making up the archipelago are
scattered, there are so many beaches that can be found here in Seychelles. Each
beach has its own features and characteristics that set it apart from the
other. In short, you must go to the different beaches here in Seychelles to
gain different coast experiences while having paying for a price of one flight.
You don’t have to go to Caribbean beaches or beaches in other places which
would cost you so much. The beaches in Seychelles already have it all.
One of the most popular beaches in Seychelles is the
Anse Lazio. Anse Lazio is
located in the Praslin Island. This beach is also the most famous spot for
tourists. Why? Anse Lazio is the perfect epitome of what you call beach
paradise. The sand is color white and the grains are perfectly fine. It is just
like walking in a carpet with a different texture. It is located in the
north-west area of Seychelles. That is why this is the perfect spot to watch
the sunset bursting out different colors just like the ones you usually in
abstract paintings. You will love to chill under the shade of the huge coconut
trees where most locals get fresh coconut juice as well.
Another amazing beach here in Seychelles is the Beau Vallon.
It can be found in
the Northern Mahe of the archipelago. The color of the sand in Beau Vallon is
also white. However, it is not as white or as soft compared to the sands of
Anse Lazio. Nevertheless, you will still spend some good time frolicking in the
clear waters of Beau Vallon. Although this beach is not as visited as Anse
Lazio, there are still a lot of restaurants, cafes and alike where you can eat
pizza, drink coffee, or anything while enjoying the wonderful sceneries.
However, it is not advisable to go to Beacu Vallon during November until April,
when the northwest monsoon starts to create powerful waves because of the
strong current. You will see that most of the sand is taken by the waves from
coast of Beau Vallon and it can be very dangerous to swim in the waters of this
beach during this time.
And last but definitely not the least is the Anse Source D’ Argent beach. The
Anse Source D’ Argent is said to be the most photographed beach in the whole
world. Unlike the first two beaches, the sand color is very unique because it
is in pink. Moreover, the grains of the sand vary from large to medium but
certainly it still feels soft even if you walk barefoot. According to several
travel magazines and other travel publications Anse Source D’ Argent is voted
as the number one beach not only in Seychelles but around the world as well.
But despite of its popularity, there are not many facilities here in Anse
Source D' Argent. However, you can go snorkeling since some equipments are for
rent.
